Ipad with a mail-account that only show newer mails.

Hi, I have an Ipad ond an Hotmail-account.
All messages are shown okay. I can send and receive as should but
mails older than just some days are hidden on Ipad, not when seen
on a computer. Have looked at all settings I can find, no clue.
