Ear speaker not working.

I had to take my 3g apart to check the dock cable because it wasn't charging. The phone is finally charging, but the ear speaker won't work. I can use it on speakerphone, but that's all. Any suggestions?

Retrace your steps and make sure you re-assembled your device correctly.

I have taken it apart and reassembled it several times. still no sound from the ear speaker.

Sounds like you need to look for a repair shop hopefully locally that can repair the speaker for the earpiece by replacing it. Good luck with your venture. Remember if the phone is that old, weigh the cost of the repair against the phone and you might be better off getting the latest phone out right now or one that will be low priced like a 4S or even 5?

The speaker worked fine before I checked the dock connection.
