itunes error - "6 items could not be sync'd, see itunes for more information"

I keep getting this error message when I connect my iphone 4s to my lap top. It seems that this started happening after the last iphone upgrade to the latest system. I transfer audiobooks to my iphone from my library account. The items that fail to sync are my audiobooks. When I open the "on this phone" tab in iTunes on the laptop I see the books there but they are gone from my phone. Any ideas on how to fix this? FRUSTATED!

How much free space is left on your device? If it's near full you might want to try clearing some off then seeing if the items will sync.
