How do I revert back to either iOS 6 or 5.1.1?

How do I revert back to either ios 6 or 5.1.1 for that matter on my iPhone 4s. My kid did th upgrade to ios 7 on my phone but I hate it

Sorry to hear you don't like Ios7, but as of now there's no going back.

As taz said, unfortunately there is no going backward in the Apple world. I do have a suggestion though. You could post an ad on Craigslist looking for an iPhone 4s with iOS 6 still on it, either for trade or for purchase. This could yield some success for you. Granted, you'll end up with a different device, but if iOS 7 bothers you that much, it's really the only way left for you.
