How can I delete an app from my i phone 4s?

How can I delete an app from my i phone 4s I have tried going into settings, general, restrictions,deleting Apps nothing has worked. Many thanks.

Tap/hold the icon of the app you want to delete until it 'wiggles' and has an "X" in the upper corner of the icon... tap the "X"...
