Uncompatible Firmware

[iMore Question]

I was running the beta version of iOS7 on my iPhone 4. It recently shut off and now says it needs activation. My girlfriend simply downloaded the new software and restored hers, and it worked. I tried the same thing and for some reason the firmware is not compatible even though I'm positive I have the right download. Can any one shed some light ?

Plug into iTunes and restore as new.

First of all, make sure that you’re running the latest version if iTunes. Then, just put your device in DFU mode and connect it to your computer/iTunes. It will download the latest iOS and install it for you. Good luck.
