lost messages and pictures

i have an iphone 4 and an ipad mini. when i power off my ipad mini viber resets and ask for my number to setup all over again, all my messages and pictures that i rec'd on my phone are gone. why what can i do to prevent this. ( Messages go to my phone as well as the ipad mini )

Sounds like a faulty ipad it should not erase everything by powering it off and on I would take it to apple as it is covered under apple still

Make sure you have photo stream enabled on both devices and it will back up your pictures so u won't lose anything
