Too many videos on my iphone 4 to download the new OS

I want to free up room on my iPHone 4 to upload the new operating system, but don't know what to do with my videos and photos. I don't want to delete them permanently. Any suggestions?

Transfer your stuff to any of the following:

1. Your computer
2. A flash drive or other external drive
​3. DropBox, SkyDrive, Google Drive, Droplr, Box or other cloud service.

The suggestions that were provided to you below is good solid advice. It is simple and easy to do. I back up tones of video to an old WD external HD.
