[help me out yo]

I just recently installed WhatsApp. Someone texted me via WhatsApp and a name appears next to it.

The name only appears when I receive the notification in the lock screen. Inside the WhatsApp, the message appears under a phone number rather than that name. I also do not have anyone with the name that appeared in the notification in my contacts whatsoever nor do I have that phone number saved. Is it possible that the name is what the sender has me saved as? This is a screen shot of what I am talking about. The name is circled in red. It only appears in notifications. Inside the app it is only a number and I don’t see that name anywhere.
