Default Instagram saving pics to camera roll

Instagram is saving the edited pics to my camera roll even with my setting to save set to "off". Plus it creates an instagram folder of pics everytime! This happening to anyone else? Am I missing something?

I think it only lets you turn off saving the original (a photo shot using the camera inside the app), not the edited version. So anything you filter and save in Instagram will go to that album. Some apps (Snapseed) allow you to disable that, others (Instagram, KitCam) do not. It's a drag.

Oh I gotcha. It didn't used to be like that. They must of changed that in some recent update. I guess I will be deleting pics each time I upload. Thanks for explaining that! I appreciate it!

I'm guessing it's something Apple is now allowing, because in the last month a bunch of my usual photo apps have started using it : Snapseed, Instagram, Diptic, KitCam, etc. One tip: it can be easier to just go to the list of photo albums, click Edit, and delete the album(s) altogether.
