Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
Update: I've gone back to Fantastical...missed the ease of entering appts and the simple view. Funny how when you think you need something with lots more detail, then you get it only to go back to simplicity! lol. At least I have it for when the mood strikes me again to change!! I've been using 3do for those tasks/reminders in addition to Fantastical and it's been working great.

The best free one is the built in calendar.

Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
I think I'd like to try out Fantastical and Informant (always looking for a better calendaring app), although I am pretty happy with miCal, but there is no "trial" offer that I can find. $15 for Informant or $5 for Fantastical (I know - not a lot of cash, but don't want to pay to find out I don't like it) is a little much. At least for me. I have no problem spending $15 if it works for me, but I want to know first.
Anybody know of anyway to "trial" these first? - 01-26-2013, 10:33 AM #30

No trial which is a bummer cause I'd like to try Informant also.
Free today: The Grid calendar 😉 and Extreme Tasks."Sometimes its not the song that makes you emotional. It's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it." - 01-26-2013, 11:22 AM #31
Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
Thanks - I tried the Grid, but it really didn't do much more for me than miCal. Loved the UI, but functionally not there.
Again, thanks all the same... - 01-26-2013, 03:28 PM #32

Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
I also just saw that they have an iPhone only version for $10, so there are options. It looks like the most capable, but...

Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
So I sent an email to the Fantastical folks, asking about a trial. Their response, "We have a trial offer for the Mac version, but not iPhone. Sorry."
So much for Fantastical. I'll shoot one to Pocket Informant tomorrow. Probably the same response, but it never hurts to ask. - 01-27-2013, 10:35 AM #35
Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
You're wasting your time. I explained why there's no trial. We used to have a trial version of DataVault for iOS, but it was costing more to keep it updated than it was worth. The big apps don't do it.

Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
OK - point taken.
Let me ask this instead: With miCal, the biggest issue I have with the colored categories is that I can not change the font color, just the category. So a light colored category has white text by default, which means I can not usually read what the appointment is. Are the font colors changeable in Informant? Or Fantastical? I am pretty much limited to dark colors for my calendar colors, and the do not at all match my category colors in my Outlook. I'd like the two to match, for obvious reasons.
Thanks... - 01-27-2013, 06:48 PM #37
Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
Informant allows you to change font size and background colors.

Re: Does anyone use the "Agenda" app for iPhone?
Thank you. Just to confirm, font size and background colors, but NOT font colors - correct?

I too revisited Pocket Informant Go, but from what I see you don't get the month view?? Only week? Not sure that makes it a resonable purchase for me...

Don't mind at all😃
Grid: no real excitement here, regular calendar but can change the color...some hard to read, but if you're looking for a quick change-up to iCal then try it!
InFocus Pro: well after the 3x's it took to get to load😠...the calendar is really nothing special, it's stock calendar with same views. You can access tasks from that same screen, however it seems like quite a few steps to create one. It has a similar feature feel like Clear (goodness I love that app!) but it just doesn't flow as fast or smooth...
Overall, nice freebie difference to play around with but neither are keepers for me.
Fantastical is my go to calendar app, occasionally Week Cal, miCal layout has not grown on me but dashboard layout of calendar/tasks (which is extra$) and weather is great idea.
May jump in and pick up PI Go...not sure if I'll love it but I think I need to try it (ok fine, productivity addict talking 'I want to try it!') lol"Sometimes its not the song that makes you emotional. Ok so I did it...purchased PI GO! Yes Alli so far I like it!😉
Lots of nice views (Go version has Today/Week/Month) and tasks show right with appts. Easy to schedule appts, badge for today's date or tasks due, colored backgrounds, colored text based on what you change calendar too (blue for me for work or red for all else)
Still playing...lots of options and need to get used to it but so far I'm glad I got it!😃"Sometimes its not the song that makes you emotional. It's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it."
