In iTunes, it says "temporarily unavailable"... I'll give it a go - doubt it will replace Navigon as my app of choice. I figure I should try it...

It is clearly listed. Type in "Google" in the App Store's search field and then click on any Google, Inc. app and then scroll down and select "Developer Info" and Maps will be the last item listed.
