I really want to know is whatsapp free for iphone? I have ordered iphone 5... And i use whatsapp on my htc one x alot...so i really want to know wether it is free or not...

It's only .99c, and for that .99c you get horrible support and no update for iPhone 5! It's worth every penny!!

I believe its free on Android for the first year or so. Besides, this app hasn't really updated itself in a long time. groupme is much better. but if your friends are already using whatsapp, then it will be easier to use that. but like other people have said 99 cents isn't bad.

If cost is a consideration you may want to look at GroupMe as trmoney24 suggested or another free app in iTunes.

WhatsApp has not been updated for the iPhone 5 as of yet (which is really disappointing) but it is a great way to keep in contact with people from other platforms. I prefer texting but whatsapp is also pretty cool for .99 cents.

It costs only $0.99 but the bad part is that it has not been updated for the iPhone 5.

Money is not the issue...i was just wondering when its free on other os then why not on ios...and on android they keep updating the app every few days...

This has to be the only app in existence that's free on EVERY OTHER PLATFORM other than iOS. Gives me a chuckle.

Can I just say, WhatsApp is free at the moment but I've been told its only for a limited time only. (As a Christmas Present I guess?)

And, it HAS been updated for the iPhone 5, unless my iPhone 5 is a fake and it still has a 3.5" Screen, which it's not. It HAS been updated, and says it has on the WhatsApp Details in the App Store, check for yourself, and honestly, I guess I was lucky to get it for free, but if it were to charge me 99p for the App, I WOULD buy it, all my friends have BlackBerrys, apart from 2, which I just iMessage them. But that's besides the point, if all your friends have iPhone's, don't bother buying it. Just iMessage them for free....
