Best alternative browser for iPhone?
Alright guys, working on an article and I'm really stuck on which browsers really are the best for iPhone outside of Safari.
Help me out and let me know which one you think is the best. Feel free to leave a reason too if you'd like

Browsers galore
I have tried Mercury, Atomic and chrome and am still not clear of using the standard mobile Safari.
There appears to be no clear choice for an alternative browser. - 07-06-2012, 08:04 AM #5
For me, it's the bookmark syncing. So far as I can tell, and the info that came out with the release of Chrome for iOS confirms it, nothing on iOS will be faster or render better than Safari. So if it wasn't for the fact that there is no way to sync my desktop Firefox bookmarks to Safari, I'd be using that.
If you are having a hard time getting "clear" of using Safari because links from other apps open Safari instead, there are a few Jailbreak tweaks that can set your browser of choice as the default so it'll open for outside links instead. - 07-06-2012, 09:11 AM

Just noticed I listed Atomic twice. Sorry about that. And thank you guys for putting in your input
I really expected Dolphin to be up there. That surprises me.

Based on these choices I'd go with Atomic, due to it's built in ad block capabilities as well as full screen mode for maximum web viewing. Some other key features that I like about Atomic are; ability to increase or decrease the font size for an individual site and have the browser remember your choice so the next time you visit that site the front will be as you selected it to be earlier, color themes, ability to select any visited site as a homepage, multitouch gestures option, and the ability to Identify the browser as something other than mobile Safari.

Chrome for iOS is a great alternative. It's not as fast or smooth as Safari; however, If you want an alternative it's the best there is.

I prefer Atomic and UC browser as alternate browser but all are not as powerful as safari.

Absolutely, Dolphin! This one is seriously one of most extreme featured mobile application to browse the iPhone Internet. I am completely crazy about it. I always use this browser.

Chrome has become my go-to browser on my I-devices. Google did a really good job with it, in my opinion.
