One area where iOS seems to fall short of some other platforms is in true integration of contact data from social networking sites as well as multiple email/contact services like Gmail, etc.

Has this been an issue for anyone? Are you using a third party contact management app until this gets built better into iOS?

It is pretty annoying and I've used the Facebook app's built in contact sync and gotten pictures for most of my contacts. I hope that this will be looked at in future iOS releases.
