Tom Tom For Iphone

I know theres currently X-road, and Navigon apps out there, probably more. I'm Just curious how many people are waiting for the Tom Tom app to roll out to the app store.

Navigon works perfectly on my iPhone 3G 8GB.

A google search will turn up the issues, which also have been discusses on this forum; I don't have links handy - primarily difficulties synching with GPS satellites. I used a friend's iPhone with NAVIGON and had all kinds of troubles keeping the satellite synched to the point it was useless as a Nav device; my guess is Tom Tom went with the GPS antenna in the cradle to avoid such issues.

I am a bit surprised as google Maps works fine so i am not sure what the issues is; just the same I'm waiting for Tom Tom.

I just looking forward to the Tom Tom GPS and its iphone stand with music compatible. wish they could hurry it up.

Depends what you mean by problems.

I have not had any problem synching satellites. It is slower than some other apps, but it still gets them.

My biggest issue is the lack of POI database. Not really a "problem", just something that is lacking.

€70 euro's for the nordic TomTom is a pretty high price, specially since you can buy a some decent GPS devices for less.

When you can get a tomtom stand alone unit (refurbished) for 50 bucks (after mail in rebate) that includes US and Canada maps...yeah I think 100 bucks is bit too expensive.
