Default 853X356 iPhone "Digital Copy" Movies

I recently noticed that my "Digital Copy" of Wall-E was encoded at 853X356. Does anyone know of any software with will create these resolution files for the iPhone?

It is probably because I am an ***** but I can't actually get the video that Handbrake has worked on onto my iPod (no iphone yet but hoping soon ). Once it finished, Handbrake automatically set the icon up to be on my desktop. I dragged it to iTunes but the video will not go over. I know it has to be something simple but I have read the wiki over at Handbrake and am just not getting it.

    Thanks for any help

DVD Smith is freeware and is great if you just copy DVD to your hard drive. For DVD to DVD copying, I recommended Movie DVD Copy. It is a pretty good DVD Copy program that rip protected DVDs. I've been using it all the time and never miss backing up a DVD. These two software can be found at movie-dvd-copy.com

I *am* using Mac and used to use Handbrake (but they no longer support OS10.4.) Even when they did, it often took 10 hours or longer to rip a DVD, for me at least. I'd love to find something that works with 10.4.
BTW, my first post to this forum.

Handbrake for DVDs. For everything else Videora is the fastest (as far as spending time clicking goes).

Woah, it shouldn't take that long. I use handbrake on my mac, it takes max 15 minutes, and that's if it's a relatively long movie.

Nero should do the job if you are Windows based. Not sure about on the Mac though

I've used "avex to dvd" ripper for almost two years and its great!! it records at double -speed, so if it's a 1hr movie it will rip it in 30min. I've never had a problem with it and it works great.

    (ps, I'm on a PC)

i use a combination of dvd decrypter for the ripping, it even removes the DRM !!

and handbrake, works flawlessely. although whats the difference between the normal ipod/iphone settings and the "legacy" settings? i did one movie with both settings, but i didnt see a noticable difference.

I have had good luck with DVDFAB 6 it will rip the movie and place it directly in your ITunes directory.

I use handbrake, and mac the ripper if I need to rip the copyright off first.

Not to do anything illegal, but I'm obviously not going to pay to buy a movie from iTunes I already own.
