I get a text and only the watch makes noise. My ip7+ makes no sound at all. How do I get my watch and phone to make sounds at the same time?

That is not how it was designed to work. If your iPhone is locked or asleep then the alerts will be sent to the  watch. If the iPhone is unlocked and the screen active then the alerts will sound on it instead of the  watch. Of course ringtones will sound on both by default. Thanks! That so sucks cuz I sometimes can't hear the watch. But at least I know it's not me.

Can you feel the  watch vibrating when you receive an alert? Anyway, via the watch app on your iPhone, peruse the notification settings and experiment a bit to see if you can make the experience better, if you haven't already.

I agree, but for opposite reasons. I sometimes leave my phone "active" when at my desk, but it's on vibe.

For me, this is the key. Frequently I can't hear the watch OR the phone, or I need both to be silent, but I seldom miss the vibration.

My watch makes no sound when alert comes in...only vibrate. yet all sounds are on, in settings on the AW. Now, I'm hard of hearing...is it really that high pitch?

That would depend on both where your loss occurs and its threshold. I don't think it's particularly high-pitched Have you checked the Control Center to see that Do Not Disturb isn't engaged?
