I've been using my series 2 and Sleep++ to monitor my sleep and two things have become apparent.

1) Apple could do sleep tracking themselves
2) apparently I walk a lot when I sleep as it tracks upto 400 steps a night

Has anyone discovered a way of tracking sleep without tracking steps as well and getting false results?

Somnambulism is a thing. Have you noticed the fridge being pilfered? Attending any Ambien mixers? You might want to handcuff yourself to the bedpost, and note the mileage on your car.

I never thought to check the step count when using Sleep++. Even then 400 steps sounds excessive, and indicative of a fitful sleep or... er- company.

Having young kids has made me a pretty restless sleeper and I've noticed that when I sleep in the day following a night shift when they are at school it doesn't record half as many steps so I've been putting it down to them and me keeping half an ear out subconsciously.

I've emailed the dev of sleep++ to ask if there is anything he can do. Following that I'll submit iOS feedback :)

Until then I just delete the logs from before my alarm.
