I currently have the 1st gen Apple Watch. I am getting the Apple Watch series 2 today and am on the fence about the upgrade.

What I would like to do, is to keep my old Apple Watch until I decide. I would like to setup the new one using all my existing information from the old one. If that's not possible then I have to set this one up as a new one and not transfer the data.

What's the best way to go about this?

If you go into the Apple Watch app, tap on you watch and then select "Pair a new Apple Watch" and go through the set up.

Ok. Do I have to reset my old one first or can I do it at a later date?
