Question.

I've come across hints that perhaps some features of the apple watch will not work because it requires 'tethering' to the iPhone. I am one the few people still grandfathered in with an unlimited data plan. This plan does not allow tethering.

Can anyone confirm/deny whether this would be a problem for me? I am looking to get a watch but this would obviously be a problem.

Thanks

The Watch doe t use that much data... and the connection to the phone is not one a carrier would see as tethering.

Here's how to switch phones with your watch... First, unpair the watch from the 6s+... then, backup the 6s+ to iTunes or iCloud - if backingup to iTunes, make sure you select the option to encrypt the backup... Then, set up the 7+...restoring the backup of the 6s+...then pair the watch to the 7+ - you'll be where you were with the watch on os3, and all the data, etc. as it was with the 6s+
