Strangest thing happened. Watch was fully charged this morning. Next thing I know, I go to send a txt and it's totally bricked. No screen response and can't get power options screen. Nothing. Finally had to do a hard reset and then erase and restore from backup in order to get paired with phone again. Is this common for such a new purchase? Had it only 30 days.

I've only had that happen once... if it starts happening regularly and you have AppleCare, make use of it.

It's never happened to me but you're not the first person who has reported this happening. Like @kch50428 said, utilize AppleCare if you have it. Even if you don't, it's still under warranty.

yep, happened to mine as well once. Genuinely thought my watch was toast. But a hard reset eventually brought it back to life.
