Should I wait to get the new Watch or get the current version now?

Best Buy has them for $100 off. Since I have 2 iPhones I got two Sports for just $550. I'm sure they an be found cheaper than $300/42mm and $250/38mm but I'm satisfied.

After going on about me missing my MS Band 2 and dealing with their dead battery issues, I picked up an Apple Watch last week. I figured that even if they come out soon with v2, I'd be happy with this because my issues are not hardware, but software related. Plus, at 100 off, I figured that when v2 comes out, it will be some time before it is the same price.

I wish it had built-in sleep tracking and better weightlifting workout tracking, but for notifications and messages, I really like it. Plus, it's so much more comfortable than anything else I have tried (Band 1, Band 2, and both Garmin and Polar devices).

I don't think I'd wait - I've had mine since April 2015, and I think I'd get a new one this year if it's compelling enough. You can always sell your first gen watch later.

I have been reading lots about reasons for/against getting the Watch and have just decided to go for it.
As there are no guarantees there will be a new version in September and also even if there is, the software updates will come up for some time to come. I also am really looking forward to having a great piece of Apple tech on my wrist!

If you can wait until this fall, I would wait. A FaceTime camera would be very nice, not to mention it would be a very cool selfie camera. If it can slim down a little bit, that also would be nice. Those who bought one a year ago will get at least 1.5 years of use, which, to me, is worth it.

I have SGS watch.. Have been using since Jan 1st with no screen protector or case and no scratches until I bought a cheap Chinese made leather strap from Amazon and it rubbed the color off slightly at point where you slide-in the adapter Its hardly unnoticeable but I go paranoid whenever I see it! It's official! No aw2 yet. Just new bands and a lower starting price. I wonder if the rest of the lines are price adjusted as well

When I heard that, I kind of think that they are preparing themselves for a Watch 2 release, that's the only thing that a price drop could mean.

I have a shot at getting a barely used AW sport (42) for $260 total. I've been reluctant to buy one, but this is pretty darn tempting.
