How long does it take for a notification to disappear on the Apple Watch?

I have had the same notification on my phone for three hours. I have checked my text messages over and over again and I don't have any but the notification still shows.

turn Bluetooth off then back on the phone then reboot the Watch

Did you swipe down on the screen and see the notification? If so you can force press the center to clear all.

If you're seeing the text on the messages app, you cannot delete them at this time.
