Third party apps won't open - tip

I kept getting the spinning circle of death every time I tried to open any app. I tried the imore article on holding the side button to force close apps but they still wouldn't open after force closing. Turned my watch off and back on still nothing. Finally force closed a ton of apps on my iPhone 6 plus and now the watch is functioning again. If anyone else is experiencing trouble opening apps on the watch try force closing apps on your phone.
