Finally charged it today before leaving for work and it was only at 45% I didn't want it to die at work. Almost three days!
I'm actually quite impressed by the battery life of my Apple Watch Sport 42mm. Last Sunday, I cycled about 2 ? hours, did an indoor workout for about 15 minutes - and the battery of the watch lasted from 9 AM to 11 PM. At 11 PM, it was still about 10 %.
However, the effect on the iPhone's battery is devastating: When I start the day with a fully charged iPhone 5S, it is down to 60 % after two to three hours without really having done anything with it - no workout, nothing, just the Watch that was paired to it. That means, I have to charge my iPhone twice a day which hadn't been the case before. This is something I'm not happy with.
That's probably the longest I have seen an Apple Watch last.
I wonder if this is related to the heart rate monitor not sampling your pulse as often as before…After the first Watch OS-update, the battery life of both the watch and the connected iPhone 5S has improved remarkably. After 16 hours of usage, the watch was still at 36 %. I usually don't have to recharge the iPhone during the day, awesome.
