38mm or 42mm Apple Watch?

I wore a Pebble till yesterday. It's even bigger. The 42mm face is as small as I'd want to go -- although I'll admit battery life is a factor. If somehow the 38mm face version got better battery life, that'd be what I'd get. But it doesn't -- larger faces have larger batteries to more than offset the extra pixels' drain.

Also my wrist is 185mm.

I went 38mm and am so happy with it. I tried on the 42 and I thought it was too big. I'm not dainty, but the 38 is just better for me.

I chose the 38mm Sport, my Seiko round watch is 35mm and kinda suites my wrist, also later on, maybe by Christmas I can afford to get 42mm SS with braceletand pass 38mm one to my wife, maybe I'm hoping to much, but without hope what have you got. ; )

I choose 42mm simply so I could buy the blue leather loop. I was immediately drawn to that band.

42mm here for the same reasons as many have already posted. I wanted the watch to cover as much wrist space as possible so it was the larger size for me.

42 mm looks cool, it covers almost entire wrist and hence gives a stunning. 38 mm sports looks fine, but it looks somewhat small on a men's hand.

I ordered the 42mm Space Gray Sport with black band. Got it Friday. Having spent nearly four days with it now, I was surprised how much smaller it is on my average dude wrist, than I thought. I'm very glad I didn't get the 38mm - way too small for most guys. I think it's a pretty clear men/women thing. My girlfriend has tiny wrists, and the 38 would look better than the 42. A final reason for the size is the rumored better battery life, which struggles for me to get through a day. Maybe because it's new.

Definitely because it's new. The use is much more heavy than the average use.

That was my concern with the 42mm but it looks fine.

It's holding up pretty well so far. Even if it discolours or stains it's only ?39 to buy a replacement band in another colour.

I might have to give the white band some serious consideration. That band with the butterfly looks sweet.
