I haven't seen this posted before (sorry if it has). I thought this might be interesting for some.

Normally AppleCare+ has to be added to your iPhone within the first 60 days of purchase.

Apple is now offering a new AppleCare+ for Apple Watch and iPhone. This allows you to add an undamaged, up to 6 month old iPhone to the plan when you buy an Apple Watch with this plan.

Thank you so much. I hope my iPhone isn't past the six months at this point. I missed the cutoff for my iPhone 6 when I tried to buy Applecare+ for it.

Nice of them to add this. I think as long as the phone isn't damaged you should be able to add it anytime. But that won't happen without a watch purchase.
