I thought the idea of the Gear S, a watch that can pair to your phone but can also be just that, a phone, was crazy. But then I saw one in action, and it's not so crazy after all if you're on the move and don't want to do 'too much' on the little screen.
Would a SIM-enabled Apple Watch entice you? It'd probably be bigger than it already is, but that would mean no phone or iDevice to be tied to, and that might just be enough to make it appealing, for instance if you don't want to carry your phone around but still want to take a call or send a message while jogging.
