For those buying the Apple watch, what watch will it be replacing?

I will be replacing my citizen eco drive watch that randomly stopped charging gave me the excuse to tell my wife I wanted it lol

I'm currently wearing a Microsoft Band. I don't plan on replacing it completely. The Watch and the Band will be sharing duties. Watch during the day and Band at night tracking sleep. I might also want to use the Band if I'm working in the yard or something else that's dirty. I do have a few other watches that might see duty during special occasions...

I am presently wearing a Citizen Quartz.
It shows the Day & Date (provided I change the date with months with less than 31 days)
With my new  Watch I will never have to adjust the Day, Date, or correct time again. ( which is really a pain in the neck ( keeping this G rated) (I'm 76)
Looking forward for all the things that will be possible to do on my  Watch
