Apple Watch Re-pairing after out of range

Will the watch re-pair after going out of range from the iPhone then coming back in range, or will you have to open the app and manually re-pair every time?

Re: Apple Watch Re-pairing after out of range

That is a safe bet that it will. And I hear that it will connect across a wifi. Great for leaving phone on charger before bed. Although I expect my 6+ will outlast the watch especially if the watch means less phone time.

I'd guess reconnecting over Bluetooth would be automatic, as long as the watch stayed on your wrist. Lifting the watch off your wrist will break the connection and require re-authentication.

I am guessing that it would automatically repair when back in range. My other Bluetooth devices do that.
