Yeah, I know, and I don't have an issue "mentioning" an iOS app, but to use it in a presentation and then have one of your executives mention the cool stuff that your own trumpeted messaging app lacks is, I don't know, questionable...lol

I found it way off the entire presentation! They could have used Whatsapp to say the least!!

Yes I found it weird. I found it more weird that Tim Cook actually said the pricing of the gold Apple Watch. His delivery of the pricing was as awkward as it was to hear the silence of the crowd when he said it.
