I chose 42. My wrists aren't huge, but 42 looked better than 38 to me. Well, that and they had no 38 in stock when I purchased...

I have 42mm but it's not even the largest watch that I've ever had. Used to have an Invicta with a 52mm case diameter.

While 38s are nice, 42s are more attractive to me. Most of my watches are mid-40s or more.

I chose the 42mm Watch for the way it looks on my wrist, legibility, and longer battery life. The 38mm looked fine in my wrist but fell short on the last two preferences. With its better battery life, I'm slightly tempted to add a gold 38 S2.

Both of mine have been 42mm. but I have a buddy with smaller wrists that went with the 38mm and he is happy with it. He thought my 42 looked too big on him.

I'm probably not on my own when I say I didn't realise the difference in size between the two. It really is significant. For fitness purposes the 38mm makes sense, otherwise it has to be the 42 for me.

I have small wrists and the 38 looks like a darn woman's watch on my wrist. 42 is only way to go.

When I bought my first watch I was convinced I'd want the 38 because I have small wrists. After trying on the 38, I knew at once that I'd want the 42.

Being over 40 and not able to read anything within a foot of my face, the larger screen of the 42mm was a no-brainer. And it looks better (more appropriate sizing) and has better battery life.

It was pretty much a no-brainer for me as well and I also went with the 42mm. These old eyes aren't what they use to be...LOL

I got the 38mm as well. I prefer smaller watches (though I do have one larger one that I like a lot as well). My prior smart watch was a Gear S2, and this feels similar to that.

I have small wrists like some of the others, but I prefer the 42 mm Watch over the 38 mm version.

I bought a second hand 38mm first gen Watch and I regret it ever since.
In my defense it was to get familiar with the Watch until series 2 came out, but that one didn’t convince me to upgrade.
I will definitely get 42mm series 3 when it comes out.

42mm.
I tried the 38mm and whilst it looked just as good the 42mm was better personally.

It also means the band sits in a more natural position on my wrist
