I need a good portable charger, and longer magnetic cable?

Why did apple shorten charging cable? My least favorite thing about series 2.
Where can I buy longer one from last year, best buy and  store has new 1m cables. I'm also looking for a portable charger for apple my watch (battery pack). Any suggestions?

I'm not sure about the longer cable however I do know any battery pack will work with the charging cable and you can still charge the watch on a battery pack that way.
