It takes up to a half hour to load pictures from iMac photos to the Apple TV. Why?

It takes up to a half hour to load pictures from i mac photos to the Apple TV.

It is very frustrating to get it loaded then they have to be reloaded again every time
we exit and reenter. In addition, the videos take a VERY long time to load -- these are
videos that are part of the slideshow.

Please HELP!

There's really nothing we can do about that. I can only assume the following:

A. Slow internet speed/throttling
B. File size is larger
C. iCloud problems
