How do I turn off Apple TV 4th generation ?

How do I turn off the Apple TV? Can I only put it to sleep? When I do that it turns off the TV and I have to turn the TV back on to reset it for my cable input. That is quite annoying.

just set it up in setting to go to sleep after 15 min then when you are done go to your cable input and leave it.
when u want to use it press menu and the apple tv wakes up and switches input automatic anyways

Hold the "home screen" button for a few seconds. It will prompt you to "Sleep". It will also turn off your tv if you have the remote set to control other devices.
