Apple TV update

Hi

I've received the Apple TV update. Visually there's little if any alteration however the ability to preview and buy straight from iTunes is great! Only thing is that to purchase you use the same 4 digit number as restriction ( well I think)
Is this right??

If you set a restriction, yeah... whatever code you set up would be the one to use...

As I'm typing this I'm changing the code. Have a feeling the my teenage daughter knows the code. The thought of her sitting their is not so appalling. Thanks for the info.

Did you install a beta? If you did - you need to download the ipsw of the last stock version then update.

I have always bought movies direct from the Apple TV

All factory software.

Try going into settings and do a reset/restore... or it may come down to plugging into iTunes with a micro-usb cable, and doing a restore...

I’ve always just plugged it into my MBP with iTunes and done a restore that way.

Manual install... Download the ipsw for your version of the AppleTV

Then... hook up your AppleTV to iTunes on computer with micro USB cable... when it shows up in iTunes as a device like your phone, on a PC hit shift+click the restore button... on mac option+click restore... navigate to the file downloaded above... let iTunes do its thing - then hook back up to your TV and set-up from there....

Yeah figured that's why I'm not seeing the update.
