Thinking of Apple TV- a few questions
I am using a 1st gen intel IMac running Lion 10.7.5. I am on a jailbroken 4S running IOS5.1.1. I understand that I wont be able to do Airplay mirroring because 1st gen intels dont run it correct? Do I have to update my IOS (losing my JB) to 6 to do the airplay from my phone? Do I also have to update to Mountain Lion in order to access IPhoto/photostream or am I unable to do that because of the first gen thing anyway? I know a lot of questions but I am just trying to make a well informed decision. Thanks folks!

Thinking of Apple TV- a few questions
I believe that iOS 5 supports airplay so you should be fine there as long as the app supports AirPlay out. Not sure about AirPlay mirroring from the 4S though.
I don't think you need ML for Photostream. Have you tried to enable it in the iPhoto preferences? - 11-24-2012, 07:13 AM

JB iP4S iOS 5.1.1 works fine with Apple TV. You don't need to give up your jailbreak.
