Is AirPlay API public for set tops?

Don't have apple tv, don't want even more boxes. Have 360, wii, roku hd. Is the AirPlay API available to boxes to receive AirPlay links? Smart glass looks good but I don't know how that would work across the iOS if I wana start playing anything I want on the tv, and I don't want to hack up the 360 with a running computer with bonjour. The 360 or roku needs AirPlay support.

AirPlay is available to 3rd parties for audio only... Apple's gotta keep some things to themselves as selling points

Well I feel like their selling points is for ios and Mac devices, which I all ready have ios devices and love them, and Im willing to buy more of down the line, and giving them the ability to AirPlay everything to any set top box would give iphones and iPads even more value.

On another note, would smart glass work throughout all of ios like AirPlay? Because that would work.
