I have an updated apple tv 2g and would like to jailbreak it using windows
software. can ne1 outline the process to do this with windows.

But the question remains at this point... "Why?"... since there are no apps, and no way to add new features yet, what's the point?

Note that the 4.2.1/4.1.1 JB is tethered so you'll need a computer every time the ATV restarts. I'd hold off until there's an untethered JB/more apps, personally (or downgrade back to an older FW if you have SHSHs saved to get untethered)

Thanks for the info. I forgot about that! Santa just brought the ATV2 for me at xmas so I guess I'm SOL on saving the SHSH.

I'll stick to Netflix viewing for now....
