I was gonna pick up ATV2 for my self for christmas but now with ATV3 coming out I'm left with the ever popular question of should I wait?

never had ATV but 2nd gen looks good. Obviously the 2 big things with 3rd gen would be 1080p and a faster processor..

So...wait or no wait?

If you really want it now, get it. If you can wait a while, it should be out soon. I'm waiting for ATV3. I love the 1080. Well worth the wait IMO.

My wife bought be an ATV 2 for Christmas. Not sure if I'm going to not open it and return for an ATV 3.

But I think I'll open it then get the new ATV3 to the living room and take the "old" one to the bedroom :P

Yeah wait 1080p is worth it if you have a 46" or more TV.

Take this for what it's worth, but I went to buy an Apple TV tonight at Best Buy (had some expiring points certificates), and couldn't find one. I asked an associate, and he said they have ceased re-stocking them temporarily in anticipation of an updated version.

So, it's very possible this is coming within the next couple of weeks.
