Apple Maps/Wifi

So lately whenever I get directions using Apple Maps I've been having issues with maps being able to locate me after I get the directions and this is really annoying. I don't directions too much but still isn't good that this is an issue. Also my wifi range is really bad these days and I think these two relate. I have an iPhone 6, I've tried resetting all settings, resetting network settings and none of these have improved the issue so please help me. I even went to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and they couldn't find any hardware issues so what else can I do?

Yes I double posted because I didn't know where I would get the most help

Yes I just tried using google maps and surprisingly the results were worse I wasn't even located to start getting directions to my destination

Did you sign in to Google Maps with your Google account ID?

I assume you have location services on. But it seems you don't. Got me stumped.

Do you have WiFi turned on at all times even when you are not connected to a WiFi network? Turning off WiFi will affect the accuracy of your location services.

Yes my wifi is always on and I even turned it off and on to make sure
