Capital One app for mobile payments

My friend with Android said that Capital One app just updated their app to make NFC payments. Do you think Apple will let Capitol One do this with the iPhone app or do you think they are to locked down and controlling to let this through?

With Apple Pay being the most widely used and accepted form of tokenized payments, I doubt Capital One will be releasing NFC payments through its app.

Actually I have a friend with a Galaxy S6 and he can use his phone to pay for anything anywhere even if the POS doesn't have NFC it kinda cool. He can just tap his phone where you swipe your credit card and it works. I've tried to use Apple pay and it doesn't work even when his Samsumg pay does.
