Of those of you who subscribe to Music, how many playlists have you created? I currently have 12, and my favorite is the one I labeled "My Generation" which is composed of songs I grew up listening (primarily during my teen years). What about you?

These are my main playlists.

And the following are in a subfolder.

there is also 2011-2020 playlist, but let's not waste a screenshot for that.

I have 10 that I created but I don't listen to them very often. I usually shuffle all my songs or listen to one of the curated stations

I currently have 10, mostly music I grew up listening to and a couple heavy metal lists.

The rule of thumb in my office is if you approach my office door and hear heavy metal playing, turn around and walk away.

I just have one playlist. It's full of upbeat, encouraging songs to listen to while I'm exercising.

But I have about a zillion albums on my iPhone lol

I only ever made playlists for albums and songs I've got by certain bands/artists that may be from demos and were never on an album. Nothing like "Party Mix 2010" or anything like that. Way too many to count since I have over 13,000 songs on my iPod Classic. Actually, the weekend before last, I was tinkering with a program called iExplorer that rebuilds your playlists and takes everything from your device to get up on iTunes because I noticed that my music was a big mess on my Mac since I updated it to macOS Sierra (like duplicates of certain songs).

Hundreds? I have been curating and organizing my music in playlists for years. I usually start with a master playlist for a band with all of their music, and then I make more specific nested playlists based on the best songs, live tracks, time periods, albums that go together, etc. I use Apple Music and Match to sync everything from iTunes and my Apple devices

I've created maybe 4 playlists. I listen to a lot of music on my phone but I haven't really done the playlist thing. I probably should since I often bounce between the same songs.

I've created 4 playlist but I usually put shuffle on and if I don't want to listen to that song I just skip.

I have 5 playlists. 2 generated from Reddit poll’s, 1 generated from a Reddit game, and two self generated playlists with the intent to share. One is all my rock music, and the other is to show the side of metal that non metal users never hear.

If I save an album, I used to put it in a playlist. But it shows the album twice, within the recently played.
To me, that would only leave things cluttered. So I deleted the playlists to albums I saved for offline listening.
And the only playlists I create, is from the music I purchased, to keep it separate from non purchased music.
I don’t really know how I want to sort my music so I can keep track of what I save, but eventually I will find a system.
With that said, I have 15 playlists. Two of which are my own mix of music from songs I purchased.
Not counting the curated playlists, that are automatically put into a playlist.

I am now doing something different. I don’t like clutter, so I just search and play, or look at what the curated playlists or albums are and listen from there.
If there are individual songs I like, I’ll save it to my library, and I’ll create a playlist with the songs.
Than if I am in the mood, I’ll hit the shuffle tab, and listen away. I also like to use the app as a radio, so I’ll create a station. That’s how I discover new music, or a blast from the past.
