Hello. I am a full time medical student and I'm really pondering on what laptop to get. I have saved all summer to get this so I can't afford to make a bad decision. The choices I have are rMBP 128gb (2014) for ?847, rMBP 256gb (2014) for ?1018 and both of these come with student discount, ?60 gift card and three year guarantee. The other option is the refurbished mid range late 2013 version for ?929 with one year guarantee. I also heard that there may be some other new ones early 2015 with the new processor would that be worth waiting for? I use my current laptop ( an old Fujitsu ) for football manager, essays, general internet, viewing films and photos. Please help me. Thanks in advance, Sam.

I'd get the base rMBP that was released yesterday. Only thing it's lacking in is the storage, but you can always get an external drive for that.

Thanks for the advice. Would you not consider the top spec one either then for ?1189. I I just want to get the best value and longevity as I will be using the computer for a long time.
