I was planning on getting the new MacBook Air this week, but now I am reading that a retina, model with a new design will be released "soon". This seems to always happen when I am going to buy a computer!

Any suggestions?

Not sure if there will be a retina model anytime soon, as Apple just updated the Airs with a new processor. You can get the 2013 model refurbished for $800, which is a steal imo. Good luck!

I'll be buying from Best Buy, as I have a $150 coupon. Maybe they have a 2013 model in stock.

I really don't "need" a retina display anyway... Just hate buying something to have a new version come out within a few months.

I need a computer to write papers (working on an M.S. Ed) can't really go without a computer for that long. I am in between classes right now, but already have someone lined up to buy my iMac.

Now that WWDC and the iPhone 6 announcement has come and gone with little to no info on future MacBook Air Retina. Do still think its worth waiting for Macbook Air Retina model?

October is usually the mac and ipad month, if I'm not mistaken. If hold on a few weeks. Even if you don't get the newest model, the older will be a bit cheaper...
