Why won't my wireless keyboard turn on?

My wireless keyboard will not turn on

16 Gb iPad
Apple keyboard MC184LL/B
I've never had this problem at home. I have been travelling in California right now & it was working earlier. Now when I go into settings it will not turn on. I have tried changing the batteries but doesn't help.

What do you go into setting for just to ask? Also is it possible that it became unpaired and lastly I just purchased a pair of wireless earbuds today on the high end so they are good ones and although I had them paired to my Mac, When I turned them on they would not go on even though I had them on power that is I still had to go to Bluetooth and 'Turn on Bluetooth'
Check these types of things out.
