How do I find out what network I am on for my I Pad ?

If you mean what wifi you are connected to, then go to settings (the gray clock wheel) --> wifi and there you can see the name of it.
If you mean network as in cellular carrier, then the name should appear at the top right corner of your device, otherwise also go to settings --> and you will see it in the first 5 or 6 options, where it says "carrier".
