Why has my App Store stopped working?

My App Store doesn't work.

I updated my Macbook Air and once I updated it whenever I go onto the app store the screen says: cannot connect to App Store. This also happens when I go onto the Itunes Store. How can I fix this?

You can try rebooting your computer and/or make sure that your MacBook Air still has an Internet connection.
