Mac App Store Icons Greyed out

After updating iTunes, my Mac app store icons (at the top of the window) are all greyed out. I've attached a picture to clarify.

I've reset disk permissions, re-set the firewall, and am now out of ideas.

Anyone experience this? Know how to fix?

Did you restart the Mac?

Several times. It seems to work when I restart holding the "shift" key, though.
